We just got a foot of snow dumped on us, so it will be awhile before I can get the Stang out. I've been anxious to fire it up for the spring. I looked at the 2011-2012 Mustangs and truth be told, even with 412 hp, I am not impressed with the car. I still like the 05-09 styling more and decided to just slightly upgrade my 07 since it is lighter than the newer Mustangs. I will start up a new thread once I get the hardware. The bars are drop ship/special order, and I think the dealer has to special order the endlinks and nuts as well.
I see no reason you can't add a nut on the back side to the stock links.
My question is if you get the adjustable links how would you adjust them, What will happen if I make them longer or shorter than the stock links??

The adjustable links are used to remove preload only, as far as I know, though I read somewhere about someone adding preload to get a higher effective bar rate. Seems odd to me.
Basically, when the car is sitting on level ground (fully compressed suspension) you disconnect one link, one end and adjust til it's the right length to bolt up easily. Or essentially set the length on that endink so the hole on the bar is level with the bolt from the endlink. Basically if you just bolt them up (unless it's coincidentally ideal 'from the factory') you'll find that the AR bar is already a bit torqued or deflected. You change one of the endlinks so its length allows the bar to not have any load when sitting static. This should ensure that the bar gives equal deflection (anti-roll effect) whether going right or left.

Post some pics when you get them so maybe this will be the definitive endlink thread. It's been discussed here alot before but I don't think anyone ever got the new Ford ones and reported their experience. Would be nice to finally know.

I will be waiting on your install pictures before i order mine,so hurry up and do it.LOL
A jam nut or half nut would do the trick lots of threads left on there. I usally go primitive pete when I tighten the end links, I use vice gripes to grip the end instead of using the tiny wrench. Works very well.

I know this thread is LONG overdue for an update. I never got around to installing the endlinks and yes it has been 5 years. They sat in a box in my office.
I was looking at upgrading the endlinks for my Cobalt SS Turbo and was told to go with Powergrid adjustables because they use the THK ball joints. I spoke with the owner of Powergrid and mentioned my 07 GT and he had an interesting story about how the updated endlinks on the Mustang (the BR3Z with cast aluminum bodies) are actually THKs and they were used on the GT500. I looked at the boot and lo and behold, they do say THK. He actually recommended I just install the BR3Z's and call it day, unless I needed adjustability. Once I'm done with the Cobalt project, I'll slap these on the Mustang. And yes, it has been over 5 years so I realize most of you have probably switched to the S550s by now

I finally installed them over the weekend. The THK joints are extremely low friction. The stock joints felt rough when I went to rotate them. After installing them and torquing them (I had to use a flare nut crow foot for the endlink nuts that attach to the swaybars) to 85 ft-lb, I went for a test drive. The first thing I noticed was that the car seems to transition a bit faster/more reactive and it doesn't seem to bind as much. There's not a huge difference in body roll or lateral grip (as expected) but there was some improvement. At the price point, these are well worth the swap versus the more expensive Powergrids.
