My brother took my car into the dealer for me today in order to get the 05 serviced and get the TSBs looked at (as posted by casper98) while I'm here in the "Sand Box". Anyhow the dealer told him that they would only service the TSBs that I had problems with, i.e. the clunking front struts, that is all that they would fix.

I was under the impression that whenever you took the car in the for service that the computer automatically spit out a list of TSBs applicable to your ride. Am I wrong?

I've only had that happen when my wife owned a Honda Accord. Not sure if it was dealer specific or Honda driven but I had up to four additional things done by them without asking. If Ford does it I'd be surprised, especially after today's announcement by the idiot son of a son of a son of a...

I don't think they'll "fix" just every thing in every TSB. I think your car has to have the specific problem. Otherwise by "fixing it" they could simply make matters worse.

Why would they fix something that isn't broke? A TSB doesn't mean that every car is affected. If your car is experiencing an issue and there is a TSB on said issue, it will be fixed. If not, then it won't.

A TSB is different than a recall. For a recall, they will do as you said and fix it for every car that comes in. A TSB is only applicable if the customer is experiencing a problem. A TSB being created doesn't necessarily mean that all users will experience the problem.
