Vegasjay Is The Man
I was having a problem with my throttle body like a few of us have had. Justin came over and fixed it right up! I just wanted to let you guys know how cool it is to have met good people like Justin on this forum. Thanks again buddy!
Anytime Johnny!
I'm glad we got her right. Yeah this website is something special, I have met some great people and made good friends. I have got to say you have done a great job with Christine, she is one fine Pony. I'll talk to you soon...

The spring wasn't set right...We also played around with the set screw to fine tune the blades closed position.

There's quite a few of us from the TMS that meet up with a Mustang club in town. It's been a real good time and there are a lot of event's coming up locally you might be interested in (car shows, races, etc.). Just PM me if your interested...

I try to do the whole "Golden Rule " thing...
vegasjay, did SAAC is having an open track event the second week in Feb. and I was thinking of going, but there is also some kind of T&T that Sunday at the track as well.
I will see if I can get some more info on the T&T, from what my friend told me it is open to mustangs only.

I can concur that Justin is 'da man. But wasn't that obvious? He's helped me out with questions I've had a couple times via PM's.
And there was that one time I was coming to Vegas and he invited me to come over and said I could take his car for a spin. Too bad I was only in Vegas a half of a day and had no time to visit.

You have an open invitation when you come back, any time Ian. I have missed a couple opportunities to meet up with some other members do to my work schedule... :bang: Work can ruin anything fun LOL. I feel bad about that and I'm going to try harder in the future to make more time for fun and Pony related activities. I have meet great people on here and look forward to making many more good Mustang friends.

It was stated above...It is common on the aftermarket TB when swapping over the stock gearcover/spring to set the spring to the wrong tension, either to lose or tight. That can cause the throttle to hang or if to tight the spring to break, either one can be a serious problem...

I have a question for you since you know a bit! I have the Twin 62 MM Billet TB and have not installed it yet. I notice it travels too far past wide open to be lined up for its best air flow. I am curious if it will impede full throttle flow like that? Does it need a set screw to stop it at WOT? Will the TPS "know" when it is flowing max air and return it closed if it does venture off to the over travel position?

Next time you come up to Vegas you have to stay for more than a half a day Ian...LOL That's like going to Disney land for 10 minutes and leaving...

Yeah, it was really bad... espcially for me who likes to go to the Casinos and gamble. I got to go to the Hard Rock the one night I was there and played about 45 minutes of blackjack. I also saw Tim Sylvia (former UFC heavyweight champion). It was the night before the big UFC ultimate fight night live. I always have fun when I go to Vegas. Next time I go it'll be for about a week and we'll definitely have to get together. Your car is one of the few stangs I really want to see in person. And I don't take it you are going to drive to Birmingham in September.

I haven't noticed any problems with "over travel" in the throttle blades. I would assume the TPS takes care of that but you pose a good question, I will check into it...

I have a few other billet TB's. I just bought a 1550 CFM Accel unit for one of my other cars it doesn't do it. In my past experience, none of them did this.
Than, you again,
Russ
Justin... the Mrs and I will be there for the NHRA nat'l event in April. Maybe we can get a group together for a cold one or two, and to check out each other's rides.
