Ford Racing Shory Headers

Has anyone used these? I am wanting to buy them but need to know how easy they are to install. Yes, I know that long tubes are better for more horsepower, but since my car is a daily driver and already lowered I don't want to scrape header everytime I hit a big bump. Any help on the installation would be appreciated. I know some of the shorties require you to pull the engine up so you can get them in and that is what I am trying to avoid.

Everyone that I have talked to says installing headers on these cars is a pita. BTW FRPP shorty headers won't give you any more HP but will probably sound good!

i would suggest to just leave it stock because the most you will get is a louder sound from your exhuast...to get HP #s LT's is the better choice and yes installing headers no matter short or long is hell in these cars and requires either lifting the engine or some other way that someone here might be able to awnser...but a BMR k-member would make everything alot easier

I agree, spend the money on other mods or go with a x pipe of some sort. I thought of the same thing, but I decided long ago, if it don't make it go faster (talking performance mods here) don't spend the money......shorties are expensive enough.

Save up for some LT's and I don't think clearance is all that big of an issue.

if you are going to go LT remember to change out the motor mounts to some urethane "Bullets" or other stiffer mounts so your LTs do not hit the steering shaft or K-Member

That's not always necessary... it depends on which LTs you get. Mine never hit anything with the stock mounts in.
