I'm wondering how much HP/TQ I would gain with a set of Ford Racing Shorty Headers. See my mods in my sig. I've also heard it would lower the boost by 1psi which may not show a power gain unless I did a pulley change.

Any thoughts/info would be appreciated!

The word from many threads has been that shorties don't show significant improvements over stock. The cast iron is designed fairly well.

If you want numbers to justify the expense and time, current thinking is that you need long tubes.

This is all second-hand info, so take that for what it is worth. My local speed shop really wants me to look at long tube headers, and I'm leaning hard that way.

I agree 100%. If you are in a state where you can get away with the long tubes, you're much better off going that route.
