Today I installed the flowmaster 05 Mustang axleback and as expected it fit like a glove. I had no fitment issues and almost anybody should be able to put these on in less than an hour. When ran with an off road H-pipe the interior noise was not near as loud as some of the other mufflers on the market. I did not notice a lot of droan inside the car either. If you are worried about your car getting to loud when removing the cats these mufflers would be a good choice. I have not put an X-pipe on with them yet but most customers have reported they did not like the way it sounded with an X-pipe. I will try that later this week if time permits and get more sound files up on the site.
The flowmaster mufflers are black with polished stainless steel tips. Personally I am a big fan of 100% polished mufflers on these cars but for the money it is not a bad option.
We now have these mufflers for only $299 shipped to your door. I wasn't going to stock them but after this install I felt it was a good option for some customers looking for increased sound at fair price but not making too much noise. But as always with exhaust and I have said it over and over what I think sounds good the next guy may not and vise versa.

Nice.... sounds good... too quiet for me though... hehehe, I need your H pipe with my SLPs.....
But you chirped 2nd 3rd and 4th!! WOW, are the only mods to the car what you have listed on your sig? Do you have a diffferent shifter on there? My car wont do that! It will only chirp 2nd and MAYBE 3rd if the street is slick.

Thanks Brent, that's awesome
H pipe is on order, can't wait for that one. I'll just have to wait till after the new year for the FLO's now. Or maybe Santa will read these threads. who nows?
Oh, by the way I love how the camera gets thrown back a little when you jump on it, during the cabin portion of the video.

No problem I try to help you guys out as much as possible. That car has 4.30 gears, C&L with my tune, pulleys, MEZIERE water pump, and the exhaust. It also has our Spec clutch and flywheel combo.
I will take tom281 for a ride after our tuning session if there is no snow on the ground so I can get his opinion on the sound.

Just ordered, thanks..... I was holding out b/c of the issues holeshot had with them. But the sound on the video sold me.

You know thats funny you say that about the issues I was having.....because those mufflers that are in the video are my old Flowmasters!
So apparently the issues didnt show up on the clip. Brent said he noticed that rattling noise from the passenger muffler a little bit, but for making sound clips...they still sound sweet. That noise I was having with my Flows was annoying, and for a daily driver, no way I was having it! Luckily, Flowmaster...the great company that they are....gave me a brand new set of axlebacks at no charge!!! They changed the weld parameters, and the issue is resolved!!
For you guys that are holding out on buying a set of Flows just because of that issue, dont wait another minute! Get on brenspeed.com and pick up a set today!! Get a Pypes H-pipe too! I cant wait till mine gets here!!

Yeah I also should have specifically mentioned your issue with the X-pipe. You mentioned not liking exhaust note with you X-pipe/flow combination.
Fortunately I haven't had any problems with my flows, except for the fact that I want them just a little louder and deeper, just like the video

Yeah, the Flows with an x-pipe sounded too trumpety (if that is even a word). That was just my opinion....one guy may like that sound, but I did not.
Brent's new h-pipe should be the answer to those of us with Flows that want a louder sound, yet maintaining that deep Flowmaster tone.
