Flowmaster or GTA?
Ok I'm going to order a 08' GT/CS in about a week and want to get a nice stack of mods while I'm waiting for the car. I have everything pretty much sorted out but the exhaust. Right now I just want an axel back so the question is Flowmaster or GTA.
I don't want real loud but I want some deep rumbling growl, I don't mind a little drone and I've read pretty much every thread I could so I know the GTAs have no drone and the flows have very little (Which is fine). Lets put it this way I don't mind if it's loud in a parking garage but don't want to attract a lot attention on the street. Also nothing raspy, I hate that sound!
So based on that (Plus I'm getting a CAI/Tune) it narrowed it down to these 2. I like the sound of flows (Dad has a 500ci through some series 40's), both are pretty cheap, but I like the idea that the GTA is a ford part. I've listed to youtube but many of those have x-pipes also or off road piped and can't do that here as we have emission testing.
What's your suggestion??

GTA's. There's been enough quality problems with Flowmasters to keep me away from them. Do a search here, you'll find alot of detail on their issues.

I have the GTA's and I am happy with them. I was looking for something a little more throaty without being too loud for my daily drive and such. They are just what I wanted. I have not heard the flowmasters though.
I got my GTA's through ninosport for under 300 shipped. I reccomend checking them out. Just my 2 cents.
Here is a pic of the rear with the GTA's and with the stock ones.

I would go with the GTA's, I had the flowmasters and they were ok. I have the frpp/stingers and i've heard that the gta's were a mellow version of the stingers.

I have Flowmasters and love them. I experienced the quality issue mentioned, called Flowmaster, and had a replacement set on my doorstep within a couple days. Apparently some early sets had the wrong weld size, which is supposedly taken care of... I've had no issues since replacing them with the newer set.

Personally, I love my GTA's. Even before, I loved how they sounded at WOT. To truely appreciate them, you hafta hear them from outside the car. My brother took my car down the road once, and when I could hear then from the outside, it was night and day! What you hear from your GTA's, and what the rest of the world hears from them are not the same
And now, the Short tubes have only made them better!

Not so much I don't want the rumble, I don't want the drone. I've heard drone and it gets old after awhile, since I'm going to probably get an auto (yeah, yeah...) I won't be able to control RPMs.
