Has anyone put on a Flowmaster exhaust yet? I am planning on putting one on soon. I am going to put some 40 Series mufflers on, and some nice big chrome tips. It should sound awesome. What do you guys think? Any suggestions? Later.

I love flowmasters . . Some don't like the droan it produces around 2100 rpms. But I love it. I have never used anything else. I would go with the new super 40 muffs they have to offer. Magnaflows r good also but flowmaster is music to my ears.

Flowmaster doesn't have an '05 fitment yet. I am first in line to be their test mule, unless they can get a car promised to them by a local dealer.

I only have one issue, and that's noise vs. performance. I'm only into noise if it comes along with more performance. I'd probably prefer the 50 series.

And the tips the Mustang has right now are perfectly size. Anything larger is too ricey.

What is the difference between the different 30 40 and 50 series mufflers?

Well, the 40 is their classic loud, free flowing muffler that is loud in the car, loud outside the car. The 50 is designed to be a bit louder than stock inside the vehicle, but not too bad, sort of a mellowed 40.

I can't figure out the 30. Their site says it's quieter than the 50, but they show it as louder than the 50.

The new super 40 is the most free flow exhaust that flowmaster offers for passenger cars, meaning better breathing for the stangs.

I would like to go with a new exhaust too, but my problem is cutting into the stock system, I just hate splicing it in, I would rather go from new headers back....is anyone else thinking about new headers back?? (a complete system?)

You'd be waasting your money to go from the manifolds back, Mike..... it's 2.5" mandrel bent stainless from front to back..... You're going to spend a TON of money to get the same exhaust, much less to add your mods...... might as well just drop in aftermarket mufflers and an x-pipe with high flow cats and leave the rest alone. Unless someone comes out with some headers that would be worth the swap.

FlowMasters?

Hearing aids companies will appreciate your business. Hopefully you have the 1K sound system to match them.

I thought the JBA mufflers for the Mustang had a Flowmaster-like sound.

I did a search and I figured this thread was already in the S197 GT Tech & Performance forum. Guess no one moved it there yet.

Does anyone have any info on this?? I would really appreciate any help in advance!

There is no reason to bump a thread from November. You could have just asked the status of the flowmasters in that forum. That being said, they are still not out to my knowledge.

Here's a picture of the flowmasters, it looks like they may be available pretty soon.

You confuse me sometimes, when a person posts without searching you tell them that they should of searched first, but when they do search and post on an older thread you tell them that they should of started a new thread. I see no problem with bumping an old thread if the new info is on that same topic.
