Flasher location - Please Help

Ok I post a tread in service forum part but not a lot of people looking there so I am here with that subject.

Can anyone tell me where is located the Flasher for turn signals (not hazard ones) and the multifunctional switch in Mustang GT 2005 please.

hey leave the guy alone, after all he did wait over an hour for a response!! lol. j/k.

seabiscuit... not sure about the flasher, but the multifunctional switch (if we are talking about the same thing) is located in the steering column. that is what the turn signal stalk and the windshield wiper switch is attached to.

There definitely should be a Flasher as in a guide there is: Page 35 "The flash rate of the turn signal will speed up considerably if the Lighting Control Module detects a left or right turn lamp bulp (front or rear) is burned out."

Additionally on Part shop you can find a flasher to buy for Mustang GT:
http://www.rockauto.com/dbphp/mak,FORD

MOTORCRAFT Part # SF631Black; w/5 Terminals or
MOTORCRAFT Part # SW6441 Non-ABS; 6R3T-13D734-AB3JA6

in electrical section

so it have to be somewhere???

The problem I have got is that I have back lights rebuilt to meets European standards and has amber turns backs made on amber leds but they hyper flash as I cut of the original brake and turning lights. Now I both resistors to load the cut wires but the brake/turn signal disappear from the cable. I doubt I will be able to figure out what really happened now - could fail multifunctional switch.

Anyway to stop hyper flashing appart resitors which not working now I could try to change the Flasher with led hyperflashing fix but first I need to locate original flasher to see what model I need and if available.

From above motorcraft references it looks that it is small black box with 5 pins – I do not want to dismantle whole car to finally find it.

there is no flasher in an 05. it is controlled by the pcm. leave your seat belt off and drive ( carefully) until the alarm chimes. as soon as it does put your blinker on, the alarm goes away and you here the blinker. there is an audio device that simulates the mechanical sound of the flasher.
