First time racing at track...got turned away
Because I am 17 and not 18 and had no parent with me. What makes me mad is not the age requirement but the fact I have been to Englishtown twice before and have asked a bunch of questions about racing for the first time and no one ever said "Are you 18?" even the people in the gift shop. I turn 18 next month so it's not a big deal I was just really excited and now I can't race. On another note, does anyone know a website selling race helmets? The ones they have to rent are gross.

Those guys at E-Town are a great bunch of motorheads.
As for helmets just go to motorcycle shop and get one or online.
You may come home scratchin your head from using those helmets
Beware :notnice:
I remember bein' your age once...."Memories..memories....." anyway, just figure you're gonna have to eat a bunch of crap from many sides till you turn 21. Trust me, life gets a LOT better then in terms of what you can do in the "free" USA. But just turning 18 is a major milestone. Many doors will unlock for you now. Tell it like it is....And Im sure you can scare upm a great helmet off the 'net. I bet EBay has tons of 'em alone. But Ide type Racing safety helmet in to a search engine, and I know Ide find a bunch of 'em to choose from.
I buy mine from BELL

Whatever you buy, double check what standard the track uses. One I go to requires Snell approval. I saw a guy get turned away even though he had a brand new helmet because it didn't say Snell on it.
