First Mod: CAI of course

First Mod: CAI of course
Finally jumped into the fray. It seems like a universal truth that the first and most important mod you can make to your S197 is a CAI and performance tune. Boy were you all right!! For those who have been watching from the sidelines, the difference is just stunning. jaw dropping. And I have a 5-speed automatic GT. It's like an entirely different vehicle now. No throttle lag. It slams through the gears like a scalded dog.
Don't walk, RUN and get these 2 mods immediately if you have not done so already!
I live in the Philly area, and was therefore able to go visit Evolution Performance in person. In 15 minutes flat, they installed a C&L Racer CAI and re-flashed me with their own performance tune on an SCT X2, all at no additional cost. I will definitely be going back to them for my next mod.....hmm, Borla Stingers? UD Pulleys? So many choices......

That's the scary part. I had 3/4 of a tank in the pony when I went for the mod, so they gave me an 87 tune to start. Waiting in the SCT is a 93 tune for after my next fill-up. I'll get some numbers when I have Evolution Performance do my next mod. They have a dyno on site, and I think it has allowed them to do some nice tweaking, especially for automatic perforamance. I'm very happy with their custom tune.

First mod should be a blower on these cars because they need it!
