Finally Installed Tillman Tune and Mods

I have about a month now on my GT (5 spd manual) with the Tillman tune, FRPP cold air intake and charge motion delete plates. All I can say is - WOW - WHAT A DIFFERENCE it all made!!!! It feels like a whole different car now. It seems to have more power from idle to 3,000 rpm. As the rpms approach 4,000 it just turns into a rocket ship. I never thought these mods would make such a noticeable difference. I started with the 87 -89 performance tune - it was okay, better than stock. I then loaded the 91 octane street race (updated version) - I'll never go back to any lessor tune. This car is just too much fun to drive now, it was fun before but there is no way to describe it - you have to feel the difference. It also actually seems to idle smoother now. I would occasionally kill the motor taking off from idle, if I wasn't paying attention (I know - how embarrassing), but with the Tillman tune, the motor seems more forgiving. My only concern is that sometimes after starting when cold, the motor will rev to 1,500 then rev to just below 2,000 rpm for 5 seconds or so then settle down to 8-900 rpm. It doesn't do it all the time. With the CMDP's gone, the funny engine pulse between 2 and 3,000 rpm is gone. The engine is very smooth now throughout the entire rpm range. It was very worth the wait to get these mods installed and the Tillman tune. I just wish I would have done this sooner. The air intake is definitely noisier now, but it adds to the experience as you a pushed back into your seat as you accelerate. My next purchase is a radar detector. It is hard to not feel that acceleration. Thanks Chris for the excellent product!!!!

I'm looking forward to getting my Tillman tunes. It's almost been a month since I've ordered, so I'm hoping they come soon.

yes I saw the same thing with taking off too. Sometimes I would stall the car but now with the Tillmans tunes it never happons any more. I attribute it to being more responsive. Tillmans changes the speed the tghrottle reacts, lessening the slight lag the car has stock
