Ok, all the sounds clips online sound the same to me so I am asking for fellow owners choices. Please let me know your opinions of the following companies and which is the best choice:

1) Magnaflow
2) JBA
3) Bassani
4) Flowmaster
5) Steeda
6) Borla

Thanks!

I have Magnaflow. I love the tips and the sound. Is it the best, depends on who you ask and how much money they wanted to spend. I do like Borla and Bassani but I also like to have some money left over to do other mods.

Flowmaster is designing a new muffler from scratch for this vehicle. Their existing Super40's and Delta40's do not "cut it" with respect to sound quality in their opinion.

My 05 was used for the R&D that led them to that opinion. I drove off with a nice set of Super40's that I really liked (louder than stock, mellower than their classic Flowmaster sound they wanted).

As it turns out, the "off the shelf" Super40 flowed WORSE than the stock exhaust, cost me a couple of lb-ft across the entire RPM range.

I would NOT include Flowmaster on your list UNTIL they have a kit designed specifically for this vehicle. I like Flowmaster, and may very well upgrade to Flowmaster after they create their new muffler.

Question - Did you get the Magnapacks or their standard mufflers. Intend to go with Magnaflow and their standard - was wondering what you thought.

From the sound clips I have heard, the magnaflows seem like they have a really fast um "glub glub" sound lol. Instead of a deep slower rumble, it's this fast pased higher pitched sound that doesn't even sound like a musclecar.

I really need to hear these exahaust systems in person. There isn't some way to go to a shop and have them put each brand on and then choose the best is there?

Talking

I went today and removed the mufflers and went with straight pipes for a while. I am waiting on the Borla package but until they are available, I like the sound of no mufflers. And for $50 it is worth a try. I still have the factory mufflers and within one hour they can be back on. Just my two cents.

I ordered the JBA axle back kit last night. $295 with free shipping. They had a holiday coupon which gave an extra discount. I will try to take before and after video clip with my digital camera and post it once they come in.
