My car seems to have an excesive amount of carbon buildup on the rear of it. Being that my car is yellow it is very very noticable after about a week. I wash it as often as I can but it is becoming a nuisance. My questions would be who here is still running a stock tune and using 87 octane? I am guessing no one. If you are do you see the same buildup? Would a tuner with a good 87 octane tune reduce the amout of carbon on my rear or is this just what I have to put up with while running 87 octane?

Thanks

I am not running the stock tune anymore. I am running Lidio's C&L 93 octane tune and I still get a sooty/blackish coating on my Borla exhaust. I wouldn't fret about it. Running a little rich is better than lean. Ford's stock tune tends to be on the safe side( alittle rich)!!
