May be a dumb question but........

Does anyone else hear a "ticking" sound from the engine? Is this normal? I had the hood open today and it caught my attention.

 

You sure its not the clutch on the AC?

 

I check my oil twice a week(3,000 miles on it)I opened my hood thursday and it sounded like solid lifters tapping :angry: .Checked the oil and it was fine.Changed the oil and filter and the tapping was gone.
Maybe the filter was full of junk.
Hope it didnt wipe my cam lobes.

Taking it in for W service and see if they can check the cam lobes for any fisheyes.
I wont hold my breath though .

 

The engine is fairly noisy in my experience. Again, in my experience, if lifters are tapping, it is very obvious.
