Hey guys, I flashed back to stock after I put my stock airbox back on. Went for a quick drive and didn't even make it out of the neighborhood when I heard a beep. The message center said Engine Failsafe Mode. Anyone know what this error could be tied to?

Everything is stock on the car with the exception of a welded in x-pipe where the H was. I do have a tank of 91 left in there from my intake being installed.

I am going back to stock because of a pesky check engine light . . that has nothing to do with my JLT intake. The dealer needs to make this stuff right first is all.

It could be a coil-pack....I had mine go into failsafe mode when I first got it (before any mod's), and it was a bad coil-pack per the TSB. They put a new one on, good to go. Hope they find your problem for you.

Well . . I figured it out. Turns out my roommate, who likes to move my stuff around quite a bit, decided that the inside of my stock airbox was a great place to put my xCalibrator and JLT literature. Hard for the motor to run when PAPERS ARE SITTING ACROSS THE darn FILTER!!

Thanks for the response tho Jay.

Actually I have another question for folks with the xCalibrator. How do you get rid of the the stock tune on it? I will be taking the car in to get the computer updated and want to save the new stock file. Thanks!

Adam

I think you have to have your box reflashed from your vendor or tuner.
