Thought I would post the question here as a well. I have a JLT and brenspeed 93 emission tune. I just put the tune on after not driving the car for a little over a month. The car drove fine and had nice pickup. Howver, on listening to the engine in almost sounds like there is a "Chatter" coming from the valve covers. I cannot recall if that was a normal sound or not. Any thoughts on this?

I did put the stock air box and stock tune back to compare, but for some reason the check engine light stayed on. Not sure about this one. I went back to the JLT and custom tune and the light went off.

The only thing I did recently, about a month ago, was put on the Midwest custom painted plenum and fuel rail covers.

Are you hearing the clicking from the fuel injectors. Maybe you notice it more with those covers on for some reason.

 

I am no engine guy so it could be the fuel injectors. When I installed the plenum and fuel rail covers I had to remove the fuel rail screws, line up the covers and fuel rail and put the screw back in. I know the fuel rails popped out as I was doing and I had to put them back in. Then again I am unsure.

 

You just probably didn't notice it before the tune but these engines with there overhead cams and fuel injectors can be quite noisey. The tune should have made no difference in the sounds you are hearing. Just make sure your oil level is up to snuff and she will be just fine!!!
