I am interested if anyone in the Dallas area has a CAI system and if they have been able to pass the emissions tests.

 

I don't think a CAI is going to flunk your emissions. Plus, the 05s actually do run well under what the limit is, so you have "some" room to work. Also, considering that they give you a 2 year sticker on new cars, I doubt anyone has had to worry about testing yet.

 

CAI shouldn't make you fail....

 

Since when does Texas do an emission test? Or is this a Dallas/FW thing?

I dont have an 05 mustang at all but I have never had an emissions test on my last 2 inspections. they just hooked up to my computer and scanned it. I thought that only cars older than a certain age had to get emissions checks, but I dont knwow.
Oh yeah, I live in dallas. I have a 2002 VW, not sure how that affects anything.

 

Several counties in north Texas and Harris Co. ( Houston ) have been doing it for several years. There are more to come.
