Eliminating Cats Question?
#21
I installed the ARH LT's with non-catted H pipe and it sounds great! very loud , But a very different sound since the LT's and stage 4 cams install. It was loud before, but now it is louder. My combination is ARH LT's and custom side exhaust with Macpacs.I found some 5 inch stainless round tubeing and I'm haveing the exhaust tips made to match the openning on my exhaust cut outs. Should be finished hopefully by the end of the week. and finnally I had to take my bumper cover to another person to finish it. It's suppost to be ready before the end of next week Then it goes to Doug of Bamachips for the Dyno tune.
So far no codes are comming up. But I haven't got to drive it very far ,only about 10 miles since the Cams,ARH LT's install. the car cranks every time I turn over the key,but Doug will be able to set my idle down to where I can hear the cams lobeing. It can be heard, but a little fast.still sounds good.
I say go for it.

I talked to a guy at a car show the other day and he told me that if you have removed any emissions equipment on your car and are caught it is a $50,000 fine! I have to do some research on this but removing the cats just got taken off my "to do" list!
