Eiback Pro-Kit question...I dropped my 07

Well, I did Pro-kit and D-Spec and I absolutley love it. I think I have found my favorite setting at 3 out from full firm front and 2.5 out in the rear. My question is: the Pro-Kit dropped my car exactly 1.25 inches front AND rear. I thought the Pro-Kit is suppsed to drop the front 1.3 and the rear 1.4? I do have the rear srpings in correctly and verified the rotation is correct with the tail pointing out the back at 6 o'clock.

Anyone else get an even drop?

1.3 and 1.4 isn't much of a difference in all honesty..

as long as you put the front springs on the front and the back on the back, you shouldnt worry too much.

the drop looks good.... can't wait to drop mine with the pro-kit.

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with it - especially the D-Specs.

Also, allow them to settle over time...you might see a bit of a change still.

Me personally I've done 4 turns out from firm both front and rear. I tried 3 out in the rear and it was a tad bouncy. Still testing...

good luck!

Man that looks sweet! So how's the handling? Is it greatly improved, moderately, etc? I'm looking to buy the same setup...I just need more justification. The picture is almost enough.

I wish I could tell you what mine dropped since I have the same set up. Of course I was an idiot and completely forgot to measure my car before the install. Nice going. I do think the prokit is perfect and it still has that slight rack in the back. I also regret not pushing my car handeling wise before I had the springs and damperes on. I have had mine only a feew weeks and have had full firm, 6 turns from firm, and now 3 back from firm. It's a really cool trick to adjust the suspension like this and you can have a smoother ride that stock. Full firm does not have much body lean and feels tight but I don't find it uncomfortable. Six turns back from full firm feels smoother that stock but like I said I sure wish that I could have pushed it more when stock to compare.

There is VERY little body roll. Much less than stock and I think what I like most about the D-Specs is how nicely the suspension rebounds. It's very controlled. I have always liked a firm riding car which is why I have mine set relatively firm compared to some. It's intersting how sensitive the adjustments are. I tried going a little frimer on the front for the ride home yesterday going from 3 turns out to 2.75 turns out from full firm and it made a big difference - a little to firm for everyday roads. So within about 30 seconds I was back to my 3 turns out setting.

I love fine tuning!

Mine settled almost another quarter inch after a few months from the day of the install. Also a full tank of gas will make it set almost even with the front.

There is some variability to contend with in the manufacture of coil springs, with in and and between production runs. 1/8 or 3/16" from nominal dprcified static height is not much at all. It may settle a little bit. Also your measurements are subject to others factors as well that affect thier accuracy and comparability. Unless the slab you took your measurements on is as flat and level as a pool table (likely not) your measurements are then only approximate. If one wheel was on a low or high spot all four corners will be affected. Also affects the results if the care is on a different part of the uneven slab, before and after.

A word of caution of the subjective sense of firm settings. While the D-Spec adjustments affect both rebound and bounce, what you are mostly adjusting is rebound. When you get carried away with excessive rebound setting the wheel is not able to return to nominal ride position from a bump as fast. If successive bumps are encountered quickly, the wheels never gets a chance to get back to nominal and the effect is you have less and less bounce travel (car is getting dynamically lower) as each successive bump is encountered. In quick order you run out of suspension travel and the bumps get real nasty then and the car very unsettled. Really a bad thing in a hard corner.

Mine dropped 1 1/8" front, 1 3/8" rear.

I put the before and after measurements at the bottom of my install write up

I discovered this also after a season at the track. Does seem to be very little bump adjustment compared to rebound. But for $500, they're not bad.

Well i also forgot to measure before and after but o Well. One thing i would like to suggest if you did not do it. Cut the top **** off the rear bump stop otherwise you will be bottoming out on it and it can make the ride seem like something is wrong. Not sure why the Eibach instruction do not mention this but i found out the hard way. I have mine currently set at 4 from full and have found that anything softer and the ride is to floaty like a Cadillac and that anything firmer tends to be to harsh for daily driving. I did experiment with the harder setting on some winding roads and the car handles fantastic.

Here is a picture on mine.
