Eibach Pro Kit... Alignment Specs?

I lowered my car about 8 months ago. Since that time I've gotten it aligned twice. The first place aligned it and said they had no problem doing it--but it still pulled to the left. I took it up there a second time and did the same thing. I went to another place and they said they couldn't do it because they needed alignment specs from the suspension manufacturer. Maybe I just wasn't looking hard enough when I did this mod but I've never seen these specs anywhere.

Call them up, they were really helpful on the phone when I had a question.

I would get their Pro-Alingment bolts so your shop would have an easier time alingning.

I'm going Friday to see what's what with the alignment

It sounds as if you are getting the runaround

The car should be able to be aligned to factory specs for Toe-in and Camber. There is a long thread around here that mentions how eibach springs lower the car enough that the camber cannot meet factory spec. If that is the case, you should look into the Pro-alrignment bolts or caster-camber plates.

Hey Steve, so the alingment bolts would only allow you to adjust the toe and not camber? or can both things be adjusted with the alingment bolts?

The car actually pulling has nothing to do with camber at all. That's what the bolts are for... a camber adjustment.

What does have to do with pulling is Caster (thrust angle) and to a lesser degree toe.

It's possible to have toe cause pulling if it's waaaaaay out of whack, but it's unlikely that's your problem since that is the only adjustment they can make without modifications anyway.

So if you eliminate all the other possible causes like bad tires with separated belts, uneven tire pressure and broken front end parts...

Your left with a caster adjustment.

One of 2 ways this "could" be accomplished.

Physically moving the offending strut until you get an acceptable caster reading.

OR

Using something like Steeda's Camber/Caster plates wich provide some adjustment for both of those parameters. They ain't cheap, but niether is labor which is what the other alternative is.
