Dynoed finally.

Not sure if I should be dissapointed or not but I'm not really.

My only mods are 87 bama tune, aem (california emissions legal) intake and slp loud mouth axle backs. Car is an automatic.

Best of 3 was 262.94 hp and 261.58 tq.

There was no a/f since this was an event deal at stillen.

Sound about right?

I would have expected more! Why not run the 91 tune? You can always switch back

Because I just heard about the deal this morning and had 87 in the tank lol

Been running the 87 tune because it feels pretty much the same and is saving me a few bucks.

I may schedule a regular apointment with them to try out the 91 tune and to get A/F so I can send it to Doug for tweaks.

I noticed the e-brake was slightly engaged when they pulled it off, I could feel it tugging slightly and it was just barely pulled up. I'm certain they would have noticed that, maybe the guy who pulled it of just didn't pull it up all the way. Was only up half an inch or so.

you were hampered by

1) the 87 tune
2) you are an auto, they dyno a little less than sticks
3) the SLPs do nothing for you and maybe make you lose HP because of backpressure loss
4) the AEM intake isn't a big performance gainer

Was thining about going to that Stillen thing just to check the A/F on my Bamachips tunes, good thing I didn't bother since you say they didn't give it out.

I ran the 87 Performance for a little bit, night and day between 91 Race and 87 Performance in my experience.

What is the difference between auto and manual on the dyno. My car is manual and stock except for UDP and I dyno anywhere from 275-285. Maybe they dynoed your car in 3rd instead of 4th.

I can't believe I didn't notice, they took the car to 100mph at redline...that would be third.

freakin' rediculous, maybe I can get it redone since they fugged it up...

They should have taken in past 100. The times I had my car dyoned, they took it over 120.

The old 4 speed auto should be dynoed in 3rd but the new 5 speed should be 4th, thats the 1:1 ratio gear.

Yea they made a mistake. I was really excitted to finally get a number, shame it's meaningless. I guess on a positive note, I'm pretty sure it's making more than 263 hp to the wheels.

Hey, I was there too we noticed that they were doing 3rd gear pulls and I don't think they had a way to lock the converter in fourth. I'm pretty sure all the pulls were lower off that set-up they had going.

I would have had mine dynoed but after waiting forever just to pay I told them never mind. Which mustang did you have ?

Sonic blue with slp's and konig beyonds, pretty off the shelf looking in that crowd. I was the last dyno of the day, I showed up late since I had missed the thread until 11:30am that day. I didn't get to see any of the Ford GT's heard they all left early to play golf lol.

The roush 427 pulled a 370ish HP and 358ish TQ. That sounds about right. I sent Page a PM, maybe they will let me redo it. I know I don't have a monster but so curious how it's doing.

OK, I remember seeing your car. The beyonds are great . They only dyno'd one GT, don't remember the result though. I dunno, I don't run dynos for a living, it just seems that they were not doing the automatics correctly.... BTW the Roush was a manual and the Saleen, which pulled 335 if I remember(with a TS blower), is an automatic.

Recieved a polite e-mail back from Stillen, I had asked if I could get it redone or a refund since the pulls were meaningless. They appearantly feel that there is no need to make things right with me. That I should have brought it up the day of the event. Ofcourse I did not notice with all of the excitement of getting to see my car on a dyno for the first time that it was being done incorectly. I guess I assumed too much to think people working for a performance shop would know how to properly dyno a car.

Good learning experiance for me, and glad it was only a dyno and not a super charger install!

EDIT: thank you for the compliment on the beyonds, I wish I had gotten there earlier so I could've had a chance to check out other peoples cars. I only got to see a few, but wow they were all done up nicely.

I remember your car, Very nice
The only way to properly dyno a auto is to electronically lock it into fourth, apparently they didn't have to ability or interest in doing it correctly.
