Dyno time cost??

I just talked to Livernois Motorsports and they quoted me $599 as their regular price for Dyno time and a custom tune. Said they have a special going for $450 right now.

Just wanted to see what prices are running at other shops. I thought this seemed a little on the high side.

$125-$175 an hour seems to be the going rate.

$500 is about right for a custom tune. Figure 2-3 hours of dyno time plus the knowledge of the tuner.

I got mine done for $335 - about 5-6 pulls to set up the tune.

Yeah I dumped Lidio about 1 year ago and went with Brenspeed. But you need to figure on about 300-400 bucks for a custom dyno tune these days!!

$450 for a dyno tune by Livernois is a bargain. JPC Racing charges about that much and sometimes more using Kevin MacDonald of Diablosport at the controls. Livernois will have a more experienced guy at the helm than most other shops. They have a lot of experience with these cars unlike a lot of local speed shops who will basicly just adjust the WOT a/f ratio while ignoring the drivability issues like throttle linear feel and effect, initial throttle tip in response and so on. Most small shops don't even know how to address these things.
