Dyno Day in SoCal @ S.T. Motorsports - Saturday, June 3

Hey SoCal...

My tuner, Adam at S.T. Motorsports, is having a Dyno Day (and BBQ) this Saturday, June 3. It is first come/first served and runs from 9:00 am till 7:00 pm. You get 3 pulls with a/f and a meal ticket for $45.00! His address is 380 South I Street, San Bernardino, CA.

Even though my beast isn't mobile (yet), I'll be there to hang out, eat Adam's BBQ, and meet other Mustang owners. I'll be bringing a case of beer to share, too (as will a couple other guys). There looks like there will be quite a few guys from Modular Fords there, and I hope some of you can make it too.

And yes, I'll have my camera with me, so I'll get some pics.

forgive my ingnorance, but what exactly will this give you for $45?
Will they just give you your current power #s? Or will he actually retune the a/f or maximum output?

No tuning or tweaking. Just 3 pulls showing your existing HP, TQ and A/F ratio. Normal cost for this same service around SoCal is usually about $90-$100 for 2 or 3 pulls.

Well... it was freakin hot out there today. And, the SRT crowd far outnumbered the mustangs. But we had 6 or 7 ModFords '05 guys there. It fun hanging out and talking cars, guys!! But, since the SRT crowd must have got in line last night, the first Mustang on the dyno was car #28 (psfracer). And that's the only one I got to see before I left. I'll let the others chime in about it too. Here are a couple pics from earlier in the day (before it got so hot). BTW, the crowd shot is at 9:00, right when everything got started.

Don it was very hot out there, but despite the ranbow of skittles out there it was a blast and was cool getting to know more about those SRT4's. Well to inform you I put down 297 hp and 305 lbft of torque. So all considering the hp numbers are the same as 3000 miles on the car and now i have 52600 miles on it. It is down by 10 lbft from 3000 miles. I think that is due to no tune up, IE spark plugs and fuel filter. A/F was 12.7 - 13.1 all the way to 6500 rpms. So it was running pretty good and power was up all the way to 6500 ish. I will post the sheet later. Thanks for the morning beer by the way!!!! Awsome to hang out with you all. I also won a 1 hour dyno session there.!!!!!

Around 11 this morning I just about jumped in the shower, dusted of the Mustang, and drove out, but decided against it because I am still getting over a really bad cold. I'm sure it would have been fun, but I wasn't planning on doing a dyno pull and now that I see all the SRT's that were there I guess I didn't miss TOO much. Would have liked to have met those of you who were there though. Next time!

Kris
