dyno after a bama tune or not?
I didnt go with Bamatunes but why not get a dyno? see what you got, unless you dont care and are totally happy with how the tune works and feels while youre driving, then in that case save the money.
Got mine dyno'd and it was a tad on the rich side.
Most 'canned' or generic tunes are a tad on the rich side to be safe. You could possibly get a few more horsepower by getting a dyno tune. The tune that came with my SCT controller from VMP was a tad on the rich side. Doug at Bamachips got me 10hp more after just one pull on the dyno.
I have had a tune from Brenspeed and now have in a tune from BamaChips and they both are alittle rich just by looking at the exhaust tips. I believe I am going to get my tuned on a dyno somewhere and try and get alittle more performance out of her.
Anybody know any northern California tuners?

Personally I didn't see any difference and jumped on the BamaChips bandwagon after I heard so many good things about Doug. I don't think you would go wrong with either tuner and I don't know that many people who haved tried both, so you heard it directly from the horse's mouth!

Thanks for the feedback!
I do think Doug is a top bloke, never known somebody to provide so much after support and when you consider he charges the least as well for his tunes.
Out of curiosity which os his tunes did you try? My I recommend his race tune!

All I am saying is that I have used both tunes and have personally talked to both Doug and Brent and I think it is a coin toss on which is better. When considering a tuner (and I'm sure there are others) you can't go wrong with either guy! I am running Doug's 91 octane performance tune.
Has anyone used lidio's tunes at alternative auto, and also dougs. I have an automatic, and still thinking about which to go with. It would be nice to know someone that has run both, and give some comments. Thanks
I have Lidio's 87, 89, and 93 tunes. They are great. I have no complaints. I'm currently running the 89 tune. I went with Lidio because at the time everyone said he was the man for an automatic transmission. Since then everyone on here has seemed to jump on the Bamachips bandwagon. I've never heard one bad thing about Doug at bamachips. I've even been curious to try one of his tunes. As far as my car is set up right now though, I'm happy with it!!!! Lidio has been great after the sale too. He has modified my tuner for me as I've added mods.

I've also spoken, with both Lidio and Doug..And although Lidio is one of the best tuners, out there..Your limited, to only one choice of cold air package, which is C&L, where on the other hand..Doug is not only one of the best tuner's, but his customer service is also, second to none..Plus you also have a much wider selection, of cold air packages, from which to chose..Therefore, I would go with Doug and also Brent, from Brenspeed hands down..Although for right now, I'm quite satisfied, with my X-Cal II SF tuner
