Dumb Roush SC question, +145 or not?
I have read everything I can, and I am wondering why the Roush 427r, etc only come listed as 435 hp. I bought a regular 08 GT convert and had a dealer installed Roush supercharger, and the website claims it addds 145 hp. So should my car have 445 hp, or am I just missing something? Does the standalone SC kit I bought somehow have 10 more hp than what a Roush vehicle would? Makes no sense.
Getting a dyno test next Friday, cannot wait to see what I come out with. I hope I am not dissapointed. The SC and the off road exhaust is all I got. Nice having a classy looking convertable that sounds and moves like a demon.

Depending on what pully/amount of boost you are running I can see you hitting some where NEAR 400 to the wheels. Realistically, Ive seen stock pully Roushes putting out anywhere from 355-370, and pullied Roushes up near 420 to the wheels. I'll guess 350-425whp and that should have me more than covered!

Thanks,
I got the latest kit available in April, I think, 73 mm pulley? These guys are going to run it on the dyno, seems like they know what they are doing. I would rather not void the warranty, since I only have 3300 miles on the car.

There was one or more long threads on this inconsistency in the Roush HP numbers over on the Roush-oriented forum, fnsweet. The consensus was that it is the identical supercharger and set-up, the inconsistency is a marketing issue.

Roush claims they originally understated the horsepower rating. I called when I upgraded my 06 with the 73mm pulley and questioned the inconsistency. I'm not sure anyone outside of Roush really knows the true flywheel HP numbers on a Roush with the Roushcharger and pulley upgrade.
I haven't yet, but your best bet will be put it on a dyno and get the rwhp numbers and forget about flywheel numbers.

He is running the equivilant of the 427r setup I believe (upgraded pulley and tune from Roush)
