My wife Chalon has got to do most of the racing lately in our car, as I posted recently from the NMRA race we were running strong among some very serious competitors. Results/Qualifying can be seen on www.nmraracing.com or look at some picks from my friend's website:

http://www.bobbuck.com/pictures/2005kcir/index.html

She consistently runs 12.95 at 104 (1.80 60ft) but stepped it up to 12.85 at 106.6 wit 60ft times around 1.68-1.75. These were the two changes before the race:

1. Removal of factory sway bar in preparation for BMR radiator support.
2. Addition of the "tube" for the MMR intake kit. Previously we just had the filter and MAF sensor tube.

I talked with Ken from Modular Depot yesterday and he reports that this tube addition alone picked up 5 rwhp on test vehicles on the dyno, results to be printed in 5.0 magazine. He also commented on the accuracy of the Zex nitrous system claims, a completely stock 05 GT even with the HC trap picked up 65 rwhp on the 75 hp shot, results to also be posted in 5.0. I just finished installing the Zex kit last night and plan to run it at the strip this Friday night should there be no rain.

Derek,
I don't know where your wife learned to drive, but she could teach a lot of people, including myself, a thing or two about launching a car. Getting a 1.68 short time on true street tires is an outstanding accomplishment. Congratulations

The 60ft times are with M/T ET Streets, our 60fts with true radials are 1.95ish.

I recently installed the MMR tube as well, and was told it should shave a tenth off the 1/4. So, that sounds right. Not sure if taking the sway bar off would make much of any difference if she is launching that well anyway.

Yes it's my car at Tulsa OK, Mid America Performance Ford and Shelby Meet. And yes it's a Steeda hood. You can search my old posts or under Steeda Cowl Induction Hood and see how we painted it and modified the windshield squirters.
Thanks
Derek
