Today was a great day in southwest Missouri! Cool temps, about 55 or 58 I think and clear skies. I went to Ozarks International Raceway and layed down a few good numbers to start with and found out some great info about my SCT tune from Ken at Modulardepot.com.

Best ET: 12.96 with MPH at 105.39!

Reaction time: .5208 with .5000 bieng perfect
60ft: 1.9657
330ft: 5.5046
1/8th ET 8.4548 with MPH at 83.92
1000ft: 10.9680
1000MPH 96.80

I was running street tires, not drag radials and the PSI was at 20lb each in the rear with normal PSI in the fronts. I just tapped the throttle off idle and was still wheel hopping all the way through first gear and a few feet into second. I went through the lights in third and was somewhere around 6400 RPM. The most amazing fact to me was in curiosity I reflashed my car with the factory tune and made a best pass of 13.4171 at 100.36!

Great job! Looks like you did OK through the 60 but really came on strong at the highend

Now we have two TMS members in the 12's. Who's next?

edit: I just noticed that you still have your 3.55! Now that really is something to brag about. 12's with street tires and stock gears! WOW!

Is Ozark International Raceway a 1/4 mile again. Several years ago they had cut it down to 1000 feet because people complained that there wasnt enough room to stop and then they made it an 1/8th mile because everyone said it was hard to translate 1000 foot times?

If you run on street tires or drag radials they will allow you to run the full qaurter mile, they do switch the clocks back and forth between cars with slicks and radial tires. Yes it is still a short shutdown area but no problem with larger 4 wheel anti-lock disc brakes as the 05's have standard now!

Nice job! What's the story with wheel hop and LCAs'. Think it might have been you tire pressures?

I am not quite sure why there was so much wheel hop, possibly due to the fact that I set the length of the lowers to match the factory arms and this was my first outing to the strip. I do know that my first two runs were in the 13.00 to 13.10 range with full tire pressure and the wheel hop was just as bad. I am considering changing the length of the control arms and possibly purchasing the new Steeda adjustable upper arm but I don't want to change to many variables as my times are right on for a baseline run. I am quite sure I could get into the mid 12's with some gears but I plan on getting a supercharger wich would make up for tall gears. Slicks would most likely put me in the mid to low 12's.
