Doug w/ Bamachips & TMS'ers in Oklahoma (PICS)
#21
Great weekend all! Was great to meet everyone and have the car tuned by the man himself. While my numbers are pretty close to the Granatelli CAI with their pigtail now that it is using the stock MAF and tune from Doug, the car is a whole new beast. I cannot believe the difference all the way through the power curve. The car just seems to pull and pull and pull.... it's AWESOME!
My best run was 282/306. Not bad for just a CAI and FRPP Stingers! Hey Tim, have any shot of my car on the Dyno?

I'm glad you told me Doug did the portable dyno thing. We are gonna try to do this again in September or October. I can't believe your numbers Will. They were the best of the weekend, now don't blow it up!!!!!!
I know I keep giving you crap about how loud your car is, but all kidding aside, your car on the dyno was the source of my headache!!!!!!! To everyone out there, Will's car is so frickin loud I think he woke up corpses of the local cemetery!!!!!
Now go beef up that motor and give em hell! By the way Happy Birthday

Blake let me know if you have any '03-'04 cobra pistons and rods laying around. Here soon I'll be getting in touch with you to get another FPDM and possibly bringing the car up there to see if I can get you guys to fix the tranny.

That does belong to a TMS member......Ben (btrokc). It's a beautiful car. He probably has the most unique wheels I've seen. Shoot him a pm and ask him about them. He may even have some pics to post.

I had my first trans replaced because the synchro's went out in 2nd and didn't drive the car that hard after I got the second tranny in, however once again my second gear is grinding which leads me to believe the synchros are going out again.

more pics........Danny, for some reason I don't have any pics of your car on the dyno. Can you please post some........Thanks.
By the way, Doug wanted everyone to know he is alive and well and will answer your emails and return phone calls when he gets back to Alabama. He's been out of touch for two or three days helping out us okies.............Ain't his cast pretty!!!!!!!!

Ok if we are talking about the same pic here, the tungsten w/ the shelby front bumper and you can see Doug's crutches leaned up against the dyno, then that is William's beast that put down 523 rwhp. Those are the stock, polished, 18" bullitts. If you are taling about the other tungsten, it is mine and has Mustangtuning.com (americanmuscle.com) 18" anthricite bullitts.

BTW my car had a baseline of 251 stock. Thats a 93 hp increase. Check out the July 07 issue of MM&FF pg124 "project milf" They installed the same Whipple s/c (non-intercooled) kit on an 06 auto. Their baseline was 251 as well and they picked up 85 hp. Their end result was 335 rwhp. I think the difference is that I have an 8lb pulley and "project milf" has the stock 6lb pulley.

[quote=OKLACOP;930622]Doug brought his portable dyno to Yukon, Ok for the Joe Cooper Ford show. The following TMS members were there and it was great meeting everyone, Slim (98yellowgt), Daryl (OKCMustangGT), William (2006GT500), Danny (PEGASUSPHOTOTX), Tim (TDBROWN75), and Ben (btrokc). I'll let everyone post their own numbers and their tell about their experiences. Doug was great and it was great to finally meet him. My car had a baseline of about 321 rwhp with the FRPP Whipple tune. Doug worked his magic and my final numbers were 344 rwhp......not bad for a non-intercooled Whipple. I thought you would be able to make more than 344 rwhp.with a Whipple even not IC.? How much boost do you run?
