Dont know if anybody has tried but i made a brake cooling kit
I made a brake cooling kit for my 07 gt. The lower grille and the bumper are broken in the last 2 pics because i hit a raccoon on the highway at 70mph. The reason i built my own js beause it was cheaper for me to build it since i had everything at work that i would need to do it. Figure i would put post it so if anybody was thinkong about this and wanted to give it a shot they could try to copy it.

Nice, you should get into making them! Start off buying a pair, then have the 1st buyer ship you their stock plates, make a set, sell, return cores, etc etc etc.....
I wanted to do something like that. I have the perfect bumper. It was looking ducts or fog lamps.

Very nice. I like that bumper. Ive thought about making them but cant really find anybody that interested in it. I have 2 lower grilles at home that wouldnt take any kind of serious time to modify. The only thing that i dont have is another set of the backing plates. But those arent hard to get at all. If thought about actually making a few sets just to have sitting around and sell if anybody was interested. The only thing that i dont have is the hose that i used but i can get the from work. All in all i could have do them easily if someone was interested.

I like the hose i got though since its high temperature resistant. And its reinforced with a stainless steel coil. It would only take me about a day to get it if i was going to make another one. But you are right. Most hardware stores do carry hose that should work.

I get it through a company that that supplies us with it through work. Unfortuneately i am not high enough on the food chain to have access to the details on the hose. I know that doesnt really help you but i will see what i can do to find out when i go in tomorrow.

I know the name of the company that my work gets it from but it is used specificall for the equipment that we build for them. I will call my contact there tomorrow and Try to find out if it can be purchased easily or if it is only industrial.

before you go to all that trouble ...these are nice...i have them in my car and used a couple naca ducts from pegasus racing behind the lower grill which i dremeled just the back closed area off and left the honeycomb grill opening....works great...used rv sewer duct from walmart for ducting to plate... ran 145 miles at sebring and the brakes were noticeably cooler on my car vs other stangs with no cooling....
