Hey guys!
Got my license back this morning...yey!
Finally got to test the stang with all the new mods. Since I lost my license, I added a K&N intake system and 18" black bullets with Pirrelli 255's in the front and 285's in the rear.
First off, the tires do not leave traction at all. My BMR LCA's combined with these ultra high performance tires are awesome. No axlehop, loss of traction, etc.
No, I don't have dyno numbers for the tune, exhaust, and intake. I, like everyone else, am still waiting on this. But I can tell you, the intake made a bigger difference in throttle response...than the Diablosport tuner did. And, the car pulls HARD through all RPM's. And as reported by others, the exhaust is louder and I think a little more growly. I will try and get another exhuast clip to compare with the one I did when I first put the bassani axleback on.
I would put money on this K&N + tune adding ALOT of HP. We'll have to wait and see till someone dyno's it.

I put my K&N on Saturday. Throttle response is much better (I have no tune). Left H/C out.... Pulls alot better 3rd and 4th seems to spool up much quicker. Well worth my $200. Enjoy driving!!! No more loosing the license!

Hmm, the K&N is starting to sound more and more appealing to me every time someone mentions it.
By the way, that's a very mean looking car you have there. Don't get too many tickets with it.

Still waiting on my Performance White 05 GT vert.
I have a question for those who have installed the K&N CAI kit. Does K&N provide a torque value to retorque the valve cover bolts that were removed? Reason I ask is because I've read about folks who have overtightened and broken off the bolt head. Also, any concern over leaking oil because the valve cover gasket was disturbed (maybe; although it is just in one little spot). I think the torque value is important though to prevent overtightening.
Thanks to all those that have posted about the K&N.

1. The Rims are 18x9. The 285's in the back look great...no bulge.
2. As far as torque value, I re-tightened them with a socket screwdriver. I didn't use a wrench, for fear of overtightening.

I never thought about making sure they didn't leak. All in all, K&N did a supurb job in designing this intake. Very well made. And just from driving the car arround town, I can tell that this car is MUCH faster with the intake + tune. Now I just need to get a custom tune done

I had the 91octane installed....disconnected the battery....installed the K&N intake....hooked up the battery...and it has been running like a champ.
I too hope Diablosport comes out with a tune. I'm gonna start a new thread about this specifically
