Hi everyone!

I got a plethra of birthday money, so I decided to splurge and go get a diablosport tuner.

I got it, and went to work.

I had 1/4 of a tank of 87 octane in the car, and filled up with 91 Premium.

I first tried the 91 octane tune, and I didn't see a difference
Same with the 87.
Then I tried the Performance Tune, which was horrible. Throttle repsonse was aweful.

The revision on the tuner is 8r6, and I do have a cable to hook it up to my computerl.

Question-

Could I be seeing such poor results because of the 87/91 octane mix? Is there an updated tune? I heard some people e-mailed diablo, and then received an updated file. Could someone e-mail me an updated tune? anything is better than what I have now. Even stock was better. No mods on the car, except for the HC removal and bassani axlebacks. Diablosport is closed, and their website doesn't have any new tunes available...that I can find.

Richard - I had to same problems when I got my Diablo as well. It seemed like it was holding back. I was very disappointed; however, I updated to the new revision (from the Diablo's website). Make sure you follow the instructions to the "T" because those steps are vital for the revision to take place.

Now the 91 Octance tune for me kicks butt. If you already have the revision I would recommend reflashing it. I think alot of people are having trouble with the performance tune (93 Octane) so I stuck to the 91.

I know Diablo is still working on some issues; therefore, I try to keep looking on thier website for updates on a weekly basis. Good Luck. Hope this helps...Jay

 

Richard you should really be able to see a good power increase with the diablo 91 compared to the factory stock program. Especially with the throttle response and better excelleration. My 93 tune stinks and im running the 91 and it works well and I need to get it hooked up to the web site and download the latest revision and I suspect it will perform even better. Run your tank down to 1/2 and fill it up again and see what happens, you should see and improvement.

 

ok. I checked the website, and the only revision...is the first one that I already have! r6!

anyone hear of any news on when r7 will be out?
