Delete Plate's In

Install took about 2 hours and it was a fairly straightforward. I have almost 56k miles so I thought I'd post up pictures of my CMCV's. They really didnt look that bad. Not too much oil blowby. I loaded up a new version of Doug's 93 race tune (w/ deletes ) and tested it out. Definitely pulls consistently now all the way to redline. I can feel a decent SOTP difference and therefore they are well worth $139. Any person who says there is a low-end loss is smoking something. If anything it feels more responsive. Get these if you dont have them. I shouldnt have waited this long. I can only imagine these will feel even better after a couple of days when the tune gets settled.

Boy does THAT look familiar. I installed mine today also but I haven't tried the car because I don't have my tune yet. Hopefully tomorow.
These cars are sure a lot easier to work on than the old ones. That intake came of very easily. No hidden bolts or anything stupid like that. Pretty easy upgrade and reasonably priced.

Nice, thanks for posting your impressions. The more I hear about these things, the more I want them! Seems like no drawbacks, and for ~$130, you really can't go wrong.

I agree with these guys...... I bought the Ford plates when they first came out last summer for $99 and I haven't had a single issue. They dyno proved I didn't lose any lowend, gained some topend, and I too think the response is a bit better too. Even for today's pricing, its a good mod.

Just wondering? I DON'T want to hijack, but is there anyway for a dealer to know if somebody installed delete plates w/out taking off the manifold?

They could peer around behind the intake manifold and see that I have no CMCV motor/arms. Other than that the plates look identical. You would be running a custom tune as well when the dealer looks at it. Since you cant drive it w/o one.
