It is fairly straight forward:

1) Install the SCT USB drivers on your laptop (details can be found at www.sctflash.com)
2) Install the SCT LiveLink software on your laptop
3) Connect the SCT to your car
4) Connect the SCT to your laptop via the USB cable
5) Fire up LiveLink
6) Configure LiveLink to your ECU (button in the upper left hand corner of the screen)
7) Collect your data
8) Save the datafile for later review (if you want)

All in all, it is pretty easy to do.

What exactly does the SCT and LiveLink tell you about the car?

Yeah and it's supposed to be able to log data on the tuner unit itself without a laptop in the future with a firmware update or something. Then you can transfer the logged data to a desktop PC and check it out. That's what I'm really excited about cause I have no laptop.

The Diablosport Predator has already been doing this for over a year.

Pretty much any signal the ECU monitors is available via the ODBII (III?) interface of the SCT. Oil pressure. Vehicle speed. Engine speed. MAF voltage. IAT. Spark advance. Throttle position. etc. etc. etc.

It's available now . Go to http://www.sctflash.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4023 and get the 1.11 download. There is a thread to work you through it.

I didn't realize you could plug a laptop into the Predator and pull info? Are you sure we are talking about the same thing? The SCT2 basically datalogs like the SCT Raptor? I'm not doubting you, I'm just trying to make sure that all the info is correct. The only Predator I had which was about two years ago, did not do this and only had the simple display function not a full graph and gauges like the SCT2 on a laptop.

Thanks Mike

Yup, on the Predator you can do live datalogging into the predator and either view it on the predator or view it onto a laptop later. I believe you can also live datalog right to the laptop thru the predator, but I haven't had a chance to try that yet. I personally want to try and re-locate the ODBII port so that my leg doesn't hit the Predator plug while I'm working the clutch.

I'm with you on that one. I plan on eventually replacing the S500 with a car computer. I want to be able to bring up LiveLink any time I want to datalog or just monitor as I go. There is no way that factory connector location will work with the SCT2 plugged in all the time.

If you come up with a great solution, take a few picks and post them!
