So here ya go, the upgraded fuel system is finally together.

Since Im again the first one to attempt something new I've had my drawbacks, mostly today and involving the adapter fittings off the rail.

The CPR Fuel Rail comes with 3 x 8AN fittings and one plug and I wasnt going to use a single one of them if I could. I didnt find out till today that the fuel rail's thread is not what it looks like, 1/2", its a chopped 8AN thread.

So, I picked up a pair of 8AN to 6AN Straight Reducer Fittings and some 8AN Aluminum Plugs for the rear. I finally got these installed and I have been checking for leaks since just after 6pm. My Permatex Thread Sealer frickin sucks btw.

The Parts List:

1 x CPR 2005 Mustang Return-less Fuel Rail
2 x Earls 8AN Male to 6AN Male Straight Reducer 985068ERL (Bank 1 & 2 Front Fuel Rail Adapter)
2 x Earls 8AN Male Plug 981408ERL (Bank 1 & 2 Rear Fuel Rail Plug)
2 x Earls 6AN Female to 6AN Hose 45° Auto-Fit 304606ERL (Bank 1 & 2 Hose Ends)
1 x Earls 6AN Female to 6AN Hose 45° Auto-Fit 304606ERL (Fenderwell Main Feed Hose End)
1 x Russel 3/8"ID Push On Fuel Line Adapter 640850 (Hardline to AN Adapter)
1 x Russel 3/8"ID Inlet & Outlets w/ 1/8"NPT 650370 Distribution Block (Y-Distribution Block)
1 x Earls 6AN Female to 6AN Hose 90° Auto-Fit 309106ERL (Distribution Block to Bank 1 Hose End)
2 x Earls 6AN Female to 6AN Hose Straight Auto-Fit 300106ERL (Distribution Block to Bank 2 Hose End, Distribution Block to Main Feed Hose)
3 x Earls 6AN Male to 3/8"NPT Male 981666ERL (Distribution Block to AN Fitting(s) Adapter)
1 x Earls 4AN Male to 4AN Male w/ 1/8"NPT On Branch T-Fitting 982504ERL (Fuel Solenoid & Pressure Gauge Feed Adapter)
6 feet x Earls 6AN Auto-Flex Hose

The HTzero is an autolite plug and can be ordered from sparkplugs.com

I can hold more fuel within the system and fuel delivery wont be compromised for nitrous injection.

The thread seal went on anything that wasnt an AN fitting, its the Distribution block that is leaking cause I have 3 pipe thread fittings sticking out. I tried to use the Permatex stuff one more time and allowed more curing time, overnight to be exact. Im yet to crank the engine over.

Nice setup. Have you installed a larger fuel pump or changed the fuel pressure regulator?

Am I wrong with this ?
Looking at these rails again. The regulator atop the rail is rotated 90 degrees compared to stock location. This might an issue for anyone with the Metco block like I am using for the zex and a fuel pressure guage.
The port for the guage would be pointing towards the firewall on the metco (harder to read), and the port for the nitrous would be towards the intake like the vacuum line pictured above, trickier to route.
I dont think the purple block from zex would be a problem,If I recall correctly, the port would face the firewall, not definite though I packed that away.

Dan, Mind if I ask why u didnt feed the rear of the rails, rather than the front?

If that thing still leaks go to a plumbing supplier get Yellow pipe sealer for gas lines like Rectorseal.I've used it for 20 years on gasoline lines won't leak.

When upgrading to this type of fuel rail you can toss out that Metco/Zex adapter and just plumb your system as you want to (off either side of a rail if you must). My Russels (red) Fuel Distribution block takes care of all the duties, both fuel banks and the pressure gauge/fuel solenoid.

I wanted to feed the front for more of that "stand out" appearance. I thought about feeding the rear but I really have a thing for seeing the braided lines on a motor. I love that racey look.

By the by, screw thread sealant, get thread locker for NPT threaded fittings. I just picked up some Permatex Blue Gel and the NPT threads no longer leak. Im happy as all heck about this whole project now that nothing leaks, hopefully anybody else wanting to do this wont have to go through any heck since I paved the way.
