Cowl Hood Windhshield Squirters
For those of you who were interested in how to retain windshield washer squirters for the Steeda cowl induction hood here is how I did the job.
1. After hood is mounted spread some white lithium grease underneath the cowling while the hood is closed. It should make a triangle shape in the area above the mounting post for the passenger side wiper. Use the surface that creates the opening for the cowling, not the top surface of the hood.
2. Remove the hood, place upside down and drill a 1/2 inch hole (progressively with pilot bits first/using electrical tape to drill through to keep the fiberglass from flaking).
3. Take a piece of electrical tape and place it over the original hood's squirter hole and color in the tape with a sharpie. Place the piece of tape over the 1/2" hole on the new hood and use a knife to cut out the original shape. This is now a template that can be used to find out how much fiberglass material to remove with a drill bit or a dremel.
4. Take one of the original squirters (removed when the original hood was removed) and place it in the hole and use some silicone to seal it. The squirter is actually mounted upside down on the underneath surface of the hood as it sits when the hood is remounted.
5. Drill a small hole on the passenger side of the hood for some tubing to pass through. Connect some appropriately sized tubing to the squirter and butt-connect it to the original squirter tubing making sure the tubing is not to be pinched by the hood hinge or between the hood and the cowling.
I mocked up the setup prior to using silicone and used a small electric pump with some water to verify my spray would be correct after mounting. One squirter is enough to do the job but if you want 2 then there is ample room for mounting the other one with a slight angle to the passenger side to cover the windshield completely. Good Luck, and feel free to e-mail or message me if you want more pictures or info.

Update: Reply from Steeda concerning windshield washer squirters:
Our hood does not use the factory nozzles, we have added its own nozzles under the cowl which unfortunately would never show up in pictures... but the provision is there.

Also, Eric R Steeda Hood confirmed that his hood came with squirters already installed. That and the glowing report from Derek (not to mention the reasonable price) have pretty well determined that this is the hood for me. Sorry, Derek, but my car will be a near twin to yours, except for a ducktail spoiler. At least we won't have to meet ourselves at a street corner, as I live on the other side of St. Louis in Illinois. Far enough? BTW, what was the delivery time on the hood?
