he said specifically that he would not buy CAMS for sound alone, what does that have to do with anything else he has done to his car? and he did see nice HP gains as well as the sound so the money spent wasnt JUST for sound, besides since (with the exception of the headers and deleting the cats) changing the exhaust around on this car gets very little HP gains the main reason to mess with it would be for sound.

Zackly...

I intend on getting new cams "someday", but only when I'm 100% convinced there is a grind that will complement and enhance my overall engine build, as well as maintain drivability. If a super cool lopey idle comes along with them, then that will just be icing on the cake.

Well that's cool (seriously) - two folks with positives on them.....

Too bad they won't go out of their way to treat a local customer straight.....

Doug,

Do you have this video available and could you list the link for us? I really would like to hear the sound of your custom grind.

Thanks

I know it is an old thread but I would like to hear the Bamachips custom Comp Cam 3v grind. I am VERY interested in getting cams and I am gathering as much info as I can at this point. I have spoken to, emailed, pm'd several individuals and performance shops about the 3v cams that are available. My goals are a mild performance increase, maintain the car as my daily driver with the best tune possible, and get a better exhaust sound. I feel a video of this cam selection will help me make a better selection for my specific goals.

Don't let me discourage you..... if I knew of any clips I'd send them your way! Good luck.

Can you post it up again? Do you have a link to the video? Do you have Bamachips custom grind or just one of the Comp cam selections?

Nevermind, I found it! Thanks for the heads-up.
