Clutch suggestions
Hi, I installed a Whipple last winter and think I may be making too much horsepower for my stock clutch (66,000 miles). I also have an Eaton gear driven differential, Steeda adjustable upper control arm, lower control arms and adjustable Panhard bar with Steeda Spyder 20" rims with 285/30 Nitto Sneakers. I think my clutch has reached the point where it's the weakest link. 530 crank hp and TONS of traction are causing the clutch to slip under hard acceleration.
I want to install a 6 speed tranny and 1 piece aluminum drive shaft soon and was wondering what you guys recommend for a "streetable" clutch? I don't race it so I just want a nice clutch with a as close to stock pedal as possible. Also I plan on a forged block so I can increase the boost in the future and need to take that into consideration.
Thanks in advance for your input.

All of my buddies swear by centerforce. I've driven foxbodies with em but never an S197. Dunno if there's a big difference but the ones I've driven were really nice. Still relatively soft and didn't slip, even on the bottle. I've also driven a 95 with a ram clutch, not sure what stage but it was like doing a leg press. Very firm grab though, it was either engaged or not. Not much in between.

Is that MGW really as amazing as everyone says it is? I'm probably gonna take out my Pro 5.0 this week and put back the stock shifter for the time being. I'm thinking about a Hurst...

As for the clutch, you can't go wrong with a RST or RSX. Another more cost effective option is the Exedy Mach 500 or 600.
