The Fidanza 4.3 is a great clutch.

It would be a good idea to get it faced (blancherd ground) to ensure you start off again with a nice flat and true surface. You do not have to replace unless your money is burning a hole in your pocket.

martin- DO NOT GET THE MCLEOD CLUTCH. I had nothing but major major problems and it cost me alot of money to fix it. I wound up pulling my tranny out 3 times after i sent it to McLeod and they said everything was fine. Well it wound up being that since the prodout was so new and said it will bolt on to a stock flywheel, they never put the holes in the correct place for the adapter plate, therefore the clutch never disengaged. I wen with a RAM Clutch. It has 30% more clamping force then stock. It feels just like a stock clutch. Im putting about 450RWTQ to the wheels and i have no problems. If your interested PM me and ill give you the specs on the clutch. Also you can use your stock flywheel, you just have to get it resurfaced

that was the early version of the MCleod RST clutch. Actually I have that exact unit in my car and its perfect!. I was recommending the street or super street pro series.

Just out of curiosity, how many miles are on the car and what kind of driving do you usually do? Just trying to get a read on the life of our stock clutches here.

20.000 miles and on the second set ot tires.Don't do a lot of drag starts but a few to practice, the slip happened in forth gear when floored at about 70 mph.have not felt it in the lower gears.

I got about 23k out of my first stock clutch. Although, some of that was unnecessary wear due to not knowing much about driving stick and doing burnouts... *sigh*

The 2nd stock clutch is at 30k now and I go get a little "vibration" back (through the pedal) from it after driving hard. Unfortunately I do not know much about clutches to decide where this one is at in its life... I can't imagine I've been very nice to it. I'm looking at possibly going with the Centerforce Spec 2 clutch after this one dies... Which might be after racing a few times this summer.

Ah! I didn't see the "S/C" tucked next to "2007 Mustang GT". Usually a mod like that get's it own line. But yeah, that'll do it.

But back to topic: then I'd need a new clutch too.
