Check-Engine & Electronic Throttle Control lights came on

After I reinstalled the C&L CAI & Tune, (she'd gone back to stock for front strut mount TSB), the car started right up and idled fine, but when I took her for a run, she bogged down and the engine died...and the Electronic Throttle Control and Check Engine lights came on. This happened 3 times, each time I was able to start her back up, and I got home.

I then re-loaded the tune, and took her for a short test drive with no problems, stopped her, then took her for a longish test drive (5 miles) with WOT and speeds....well let's just say I was happy I didn't run into the law. No more probelms....maybe the tune just didn't load properly the 1st time? I have all the tools and the stock airbox in the trunk to return to stock if I need to... comments?

Strange things happen sometimes when loading tunes. Rare, but they do happen. As long as it doesn't come back...no problem.

+1 on the oddities. Some times you have to go back to stock and then back to you good tune.

Mileage Warranty Delete = 50,000 miles in 2 years. Warranty gone due to miles.

Thanks , I remember reading that thread, and that's actually the 1st thing I did...check everything was tight (in fact I tend to overtighten stuff!)....everything was good.

Drove into work today 30 miles, and no problems. I guess an "oddity" happened the 1st time I'd reloaded the tune.
Thanks for weighing in!
