Got mine from LMPerf w/ free shipping @ $225. Might try calling them for a better price.

I just called RPM outlet. said they would be getting in a shipment today so I ordered them. $234 otd. Can't wait to get them. I doubt LMperformance will give me $100 off. I read a previous thread on another mustang site about shortly increasing the price and that it should be ordered. So what's the consesus when putting mufflers on? need to disconnect battery or not? or does it really matter?

Just put mine on, still see no reason to disconnect the battery, I didn't and everything was the same except the volume.

I am REALLY confused as to why you would think you need to disconnect the battery to replace the mufflers...

Probably because every mod says in the first few steps to "...disconnect the negative battery terminal..."

Not needed for a muffler delete...BUT...some asked if the backpressure difference could set off the O2 sensor's (which are in the exhaust...WAY up the exhaust...but there)...So I could see someone asking....especially if they were "car knowledge lite"....

I consider myself "car lite..no butter"...hahaha

Don't disconnect it.

I did, not for safety reasons but to let the thing relearn/optimize it's fuel trims. It took darn near 300 miles to return to normal. :bang:

DON'T DO IT.

Any idea if you can pass inspection in PA with them? If you can, is it easy enough to just replace the stock muffs when the time comes?

If having mufflers is part of the inspection, probably not. Unless you can convince them the cats are really mufflers. You might have a chance if the inspector hasn't seen an '05 yet since the SLP kit looks fcatory. I've heard they're pretty strict up there though.

When you say it took 300 to get back to normal...what are you referring to?
