are those vents on the rear windows transparent? 'cause i'm looking at the right side of the picture and i see the vent, but looking out the window on the opposite side...i can see through it.
shouldn't it be blacked out? probably just a photoshop oversite.
i've thought about the vent replacements for the back windows myself, but i'm concerned about losing the visibility. i don't think it would do much on the drivers side view, since you can't really see out of it from where you sit anyhow. but the passenger side window comes in handy when changing lanes and checking your blind spot.
any thoughts on this?

Hmm, never thought about the passenger side, on highway travel shouldn't make much of a difference since you are passing on the left, you should know when you have passed them, but on city streets it would make a difference. I guess you could always test it out before buying, put something over the window to block it.

If you get the scoops (like in the pic above) you may as well paint the windows black because you won't see diddly out of them

The hood design resembles the old Eleanor. Oddly enough, it is suppose to look like that.

here's the one used in the move... the cowl or "scoop" flows with the body lines
I certainly hope they have enough taste to make it closer to their rendition than the photochop.
I tell ya what, though... a few years ago when I was looking into modifying a '68 fastback to look like Eleanor ('68 because it's like an inch wider, and more room int he engine bay) the company Total Control Products made a good LOOKIN' car, but functionally, it was a bust. The way they did the suspension didn't do much for the car.... but if I had the money to do a proper front end and that body kit.... Man, that's one BA car. I'll never stop being impressed with how Eleanor looks.

67 and 68 are the same car except small details like side markers. You are right though that the 67 was made wider to fit the 390 FE big block. The engine bay on the 67-70 are pretty much the same. 64 1/2-66 make the 351W a tight fit.
....any way, I agree about the hood. The one in the last drawing looks better.
Kinda funny how dolled up th Eleanor is in the new movie. The real Eleanor from the original movie was a hideous brownish-orange colored 71-73. It wasn't even a Mach1 much less a Shelby clone.

Cool movie though.

I don't mind the less exagerated hood. The one in the photoshop is ridiculous.
