Ceramic Pacesetter LTs

What do you guys think about them, anyone have any personal experience? I know a lot of you will say 'they are cheap', or 'You get what you pay for', but Pacesetter is a good name and Ive seen a lot of their exhaust stuff on quite a few GM cars. Discuss..

$400

Well it says they are for a 4.6 two valve motor, so they won't fit your 06. It also looks like they are open collectors and should be used only for drag racing. JMO

They make a 3-valve header - it just looks like they don't have a picture for it... http://www.pacesetterexhaust.com/mustang.php

For $400, why not?

Hey, I've only gone through 3 so far - two if you only count when I started the car w/ it on: stock, Bassani Racers and the Pypes mid-muff (which I never listened to).

But really, headers don't change the sound, per se...JBAs for instance, won't make a different sound than ARH or Hooker.

But seriously, if there's a problem, you're only out $400. If there's no problem, you've saved about $500 once you get the mid-pipe.

I'm not going down the header road, so I really don't have an opinion either way - I'm thinking a turbo is in my future...far down the line, though...but I don't know.

If I were to get headers, and wanted to go cheap, I'd just get Hooker.

Bingo, headers make a MAJOR difference in sound! You'll have to come to a car show I'm at so you can hear the difference now that I have L/Ts. The car just sounds p***ed off when I get on it, lol.

No argument there - they sound different than stock. But different longtube headers don't make different sounds - it comes down to cats/no cats and x/h-pipe.

And yes, I do want to hear your ****ed-off vehicle.

Actually, I've listened to Hi Roller's car (fellow TMS member). He just got Kooks L/Ts, and it does sound different than my American Racing headers.

And to let you know Bingo, I'll have the car up at Harleysville on the 11th, for the monthly cruise night at the Walmart on Rt 63, and up at Coopersburg's Mustang show on the 19th of August with about 10 of my BMC buddies I've told you about. If your around stop on up. Its just above Quakertown. If these places are too far away for ya, I should be doing the Far Northeast Cruisers September 2nd car show at the Burger King at Franklin Mills Mall.

That makes sense...but you have to remember the Kooks are more of a mid-length header with an X-pipe where you have a true longtube with an H.

Does anyone know if I had an O/R X how easy it would be for me to have a quality exhaust shop weld in HiFlo Cats? Would it be easier for them to just custom fab a catted H up in the middle of the headers and the Stingers? Do these questions even make sense!
