The centris have a contstant whistle, I think the procharger is a little louder than the vortech/paxton though. The twin screw superchargers and roots stlye will give you a whine under hard acceleration

Here is a video of my Vortech on the dyno, it might give you an idea of what it sounds like.

Here's another vid of the car on the dyno, except this time focusing on the dyno's screen:

The car earlier this summer, before the intercooler installation:

Again, all before the intercooler install:

My exhaust is Ford Racing shortie headers, Pypes offroad H, Borla overaxle pipes with 18" Dynamax resonators installed (reduces trumpeting and drone) and Borla mufflers.

yeah i've been really interested in this paxton sl series as well, does anyone have any more info?

how much were you looking to sell it for and how many miles does it have on it?
what psi and is it easy to change the psi?

would i need to get a new clutch also if i was shootin for around 400-450 rwhp? what about a new driveshaft?
The only info I have seen on them is on the Paxton web site and an artical in MM&FF. The installed one on a Mustang GT that previously had the reg oil fed unit. They produced identical hp and torque #'s.

A centrifugal makes absolutely no noise at all under hard acceleration. If you want noise/whine under acceleration go twin screw. I'll vouch for the Procharger...I just took a Procharger system off my car and put it on my boy's car and it's been a great, reliable system. Makes huge power.

Called them talked to Seth. They dont offer the system for a couple of reasons. They still reccomend the old fashion proven system. Which is how I'll prolly end up going anyway.

I don't think so bud... Maybe ur procharger didn't make noise but my paxton sure does. Even when I am just crusin shifting at 3k I can hear the bypass valve pushin air and the whistle. Under hard acceleration It make the same bypass air noise and the whooble when shifting. It has a whooble/ bov sound of a turbo when shifting. Not the typical whine sound of a supercharged mustang ( although I do love the whine) it has a unique sound that can definently be heard under hard acceleration

Thats weird, I emailed him about the sl series a month ago and he said it would be the same price as the regular blower...

He didn't say anything bad about it. He just said they dont carry it becuase its only been out on market less then a year and theres nothing wrong with the current one which is proven technology. I dunno. Only reason I even thought about the SL was the shorter install times. But that I even heard wasn't true from another source. To tap the oil pan I was told bearly took any time.
