Centifugal SC and Gear Choice

I recently installed a Paxton SC and love it. I currently have 4.10 and while I loved them in my NA days, they really are a hand full with the SC. The car drives great using 2d gear but 1st is not that useable. Have had lots of advice about going back to a taller gear but not sure if 3.55 or 3.73 are right. Who actually has these gear ratios and a centifugal SC and how do you like them. I believe I will be pulling the trigger on a gear change based on the advice of others. Thanks.

Here's my advice, after having a Vortech/Paxton combo.......

Keep the 4.10s! Sure 1st isn't as usable, but get the right tires and keep the gears. The 4.10s get you into the 3500 rpm range quickly, and from there the blower takes over. Just my 2 cents anyway- good luck whichever way you go.

If it were me I would yank those 4:10's out and put in some 3:55's.I didn't rotate my tires for about 1 1/2 years and recently had them rotated and now I can hook to about 5.5k in first at wot. It still wants to break loose in first in second sometimes. Unless you like breaking your tires loose or wanna run drags on the street I would take them out ( your not gonna get good traction with 4:10's, a supercharger, and a great street tire combo, unless someone can prove me wrong). Theres no point of being able to get to 3-4k quicker if you can't hook up...I personally like running street tires and my setup seems pretty solid with the stock 3:55's. I had a sweet kill against a new c6 yesterday, for a DD- 3:55 gears are plenty. This is very subjective though because I have never used 4:10s but I would not want anymore torque down low with my setup..To each his own

I have the Vortech unit with 3:73's and it seems to be the perfect combo. 1st is still useable and it spins up "RIGHT NOW!".

I think the 3.55 gears work well for the street. I don't have any traction issues with my car.

I drove an 07 with Auto Trans and the Novi S/C with 3.73. I trounced it cruising on the highway and it pretty much melted the 285 KDWIIs that were on it.

I vote 3.55s

3.55's in my book. You can't assume ideal pavement even with the best tires.
