Today I noticed that my CEL was lit - a first for me. I popped the hood and the first thing I checked was the MAF sensor and sure enough it was a bit loose on my JLT intake. I was lucky enough to have it hold tight for over 2000 miles without having glued the insert into the housing. For now, I wipped out a couple of long strap ties to secure it and I cleared the code with my XCAL 2. It identified the code as P0353. I'm guessing this is because of the MAF, but I just want to be sure. Anyone know what this code is?

Doc, Todd, thanks for the quick replies and the info.

Not my MAF at all, was it? That's what I get for assuming. Funny thing is, the car is running better than ever tonight and the CEL has not returned.

Has anyone else thrown this code? What next? Wait to see if it comes back or have it looked at?

You might as well wait: If it doesn't rethrow, the dealer will likely say it was a false code anyway...

One of my friends is a Lincoln dealer tech and always tells me "don't worry about it until you get a no-start". I wouldn't go quite that far... <chuckle>
