I installed my corsa axle backs the other night, and the car seems smoother now? it seems to go through the rpm range faster? Is this possible?

or am i just dilusional?

 

I dont know cause when I installed the SLP Loudmouths a few years back I could have sworn it felt faster too. Like it had a little more pull.

personally I think Corsas look retarded from the back of the car, the way how the muffler is so small and how the tips hang down from an angle. It kind of looks like you bought cherry bomb mufflers from the "performance" section of pepboys and duct taped some tips on there. Very ricey

I guess we're all entitled to our own opinion.. but it doesn't look like anything you just described..

 

+1 an axleback might free up the most insignificant amount of hp. More than anything, it's all in our heads. As much as we all want it to add a decent amout of power, if you go into the install thinking it'll make the car faster, you'll feel that way once you drive it.


I must say..that is the first time I've ever heard anyone use Corsa's exhaust and rice in the same statement...

you just get used to exactly how it is and then when you change something you definately can tell.

For all those who think Corsa exhaust systems look like "rice" or "Mexican" OR anything else than a quality/performing exhaust sytem...

 

I don't think it's delusional. You've freed up the air flow, and Corsa *claims* a 13 hp / 9 lb-ft torque increase. So, it's quite possible that you will see a little better throttle response. But, even if not really faster, it will definitely SOUND faster now.

And to those that don't like the looks: IMO, the canister style muffler may not be the most desirable, and the muffler itself is quite heavy.

But, the TIPS are once of the nicest I've seen on exhaust systems, and I'll take NO DRONE over the looks of the muffler itself any day of the week.
