Cams Install, and Whipple Install
I have read some good things about hotrod cams installation. I have all the instructions i need. Just i have never done it. Has anyone here have any tips or tricks on the installation...or can tell me how difficult it is? The instructions are pretty simple honestly.....just never have done it
Also,
I haven't found any kind of color picture online instuctions for installing a Whipple HO kit. Does anyone know anything about this installation...i heard it is also pretty straight forward, just takes a long time..what do people think about that one

It's more like WOULD I OR COULD I ???? For what others charge (like Brenspeed) less the $400 bucks now. I paid $280 ... I wouldn't take the risk for that amount. But if I had to "YES" I could if I had the 3V specfic tools. I have seen over the years that the "proper" tools to do the job cost around $300. It took about 3 hours for mine. It's all about how much risk are you willing to take on your first time out for several hundred bucks.

I did my own and it's not that difficult at all. Just a take your time and triple read Ford instructions. You will def. need the wedge but you can do it without the spring compressor. The NSR (no springs requried) Cams are pretty simple, it's the VSR's and SPR's that get a bit more complicated.
The HP gain was not huge but very much noticable, but the sound of the Hot Rods for me is music !

Not sure about the cams, haven't tried that yet. lol ..but I do have the installation manual for the Whipple in .pdf. Shoot me over your email and I'll send it over.
That install wasn't that bad at all, just took a good weekend and some beers.

Hey i have a question....anyone personally install the hot rod cams? i have heard you actually don't need the 3v valve spring compressor.....but you have to have the timing wedge..i got that part...but does anyone actually know if you really need the spring compressor or not?

Hey Donald, I run the Whipple/ Hot Rod cams set up and I love it. I didn't do it myself but my buddy did. I am not intercooled but I will see if I can get some insight from him for you.
