Cams arrived today.
Well I took the plunge and bought some Comp Stage IV cams and they arrived today. Can't wait to get these things in. Hopefully we'll be doing the install next weekend. I'll keep everyone posted on how the install goes and what these particular cams are like. Also I'd like to note that I didn't pay a ton of money for these I got a hell of a deal on them so if they aren't all I hope they are I'm not out $1000+ like most the others that have done cams this far. If anyone else has done the Stage IV comp cams let me know what kind of results you've had.

if you run into any problems, I may be of help, as I have been there, done that. Shoot me an email me@emperorjordan.com if you need me.
I assume you have the service manual for the car... and got new springs and retainers, and have that lovely 3 valve specific tool to get the springs out without pulling the heads.

I would have gone with .....
Comp Cams 05-07 GT Xtreme Energy Stage III Camshafts.
IV (Very, Very Rough Idle) would be pretty radical for the street.
Just my 2 cents. Let us all know what kind of numbers you pull down before and after !

Thing is, rough for a new car is hardly rough by my standards.
That 442 of mine (okay, the deal feel through, but still) had the roughest idle I've ever heard. It made an SN-197 with cams and headers sound like a Honda with a fart pipe.

Check out Brenspeed. The Stage III kit gained Brent over 30 horse! Look under the tech section specifically for a write up and info. I would imagine the Stage IV kit will give similar results.
I have Brent's car on video with these III cams, some other bolt-ons, and 125 shot of nitrous running 11.3 at the strip! WOW!

I heard one clip with the BBR stage 2's and it kinda sounded funny... althought it had a serious kicking idle...
maybe its just the sound bouncing off the buildings or the way the motor is .... id have to hear it in person to tell what it was i was hearing that didnt sound right..

With the mods I have currently I put down 313 rwhp and 325 rwtq. I will definitely be getting it dyno'd afterwards. Should be doing the cam swap next weekend.
