Camber bolts, do I need them?

Camber bolts, do I need them?
I just had the eibach pro kit put on and was going to get an allignment to make sure everything is ok. Been reading and see that I may need the camber bolts. If I do need them do I need 2 sets, 1 rear 1 front? And any local auto stores that may stock the eibach or other brands of them for my car?

You need only one set for the front if that's the way you want to go. Personally, I plan on getting steeda upper strut mounts as they allow for more adjustment than camber bolts alone. You'll need an adjustabel panhard bar to center the rear end.

You should go ahead and have your car put on the alignment machine to see if you are still within stock camber specs, if so, you won't need camber bolts. If you want more or less camber, then you will need to get the bolts...
They are available at NAPA stores or several places on the internet. You can get them for about $30.00.

I was figuring I'd pick them up, that way when I take it for alignment I would have them if needed and if not just return them. I did put on an adj panhard so I'm all good there

I installed a set on my car when we lowered it using an Eibach Pro-Kit and FRPP springs. When I took the car in for an alignment they told me the camber was almost dead on. The only thing they found was a slight toe in (although it was still within factory specs

I installed the Pro Kit with Tokico’s and Steeda HD Strut mounts. I’m getting the car aligned in the morning so we’ll see if the Steeda mounts will cover any camber changes. I have some camber bolts just in case.

Well, I didn't get them (yet). I took my car in for alignment and they said it was about -2.1 camber, and with the stock stuff couldn't be adjusted enought to get into spec. They recommended plates, which I wish I would have got before I had the springs installed, since now it will be the same labor to install the plates roughly. So I think I will just get the bolts for now, until my stuts go and I need to replace them anyway.

Dan... the NAPA part number is 264-3642. I paid $32.98 for a pair.
Unless you intend to race or do a lot of autocrossing, I wouldn't spend money on camber plates. The bolts work excellent.

I am having my car lowered thursday and bought the camber bolts from tillmanspeed for a much lower price than what I am seeing here. If I dont need the bolts when it gets aligned they will be up for sale for anyone who wants them

OK I got the NAPA ones, but after looking at the package I'm not sure if I should take them back. They indicate they are good for 1 degree, where as the BMR ones are 2. I am 2 degrees off, but I assume I do want some negative camber, so will the 1 degree be enough, or should I get the BMR ones that allow for 2?

I wonder if the alignment shop sells camber plates??
I dont see any way to get 2 degs without grinding the struts.
My FRPP kit ended up at 1.7 with the bolts.
If he plans on autocross or track days 2 degrees would be perfect!

I used the NAPA camber bolts and my numbers came out to -0.8 left and -0.5 right (specs are -0.2 to -1.0). The cross camber was -0.2 (specs are -0.4 to 0.4). My installer didn't print a sheet of the initial reading, but I remember the camber was over -2.0. Had it been between -1.0 & -1.5, I wouldn't have done the alignment for street driving. Anything over will cause inside tire wear.
